1.1 Membership in Norwegian Reward is established between Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, organisation number 965 920 358, PO Box 115, NO-1330 Fornebu, Norway (“the airline Norwegian”) and the individual member (”the member”). Membership in the reward program, Norwegian Reward, is personal and is established (i) by registering a profile with the airline Norwegian (ii) on the Norwegian Rewards website or (iii) by entering into an agreement with a Reward Partner. The membership is personal and it is implied that only the registered member is entitled to make use of it. For persons under the age of 18, parental or guardian consent is required.
1.2 Membership in Norwegian Reward is granted to only one person per membership number and only physical persons can become members. Membership is registered in the member’s full name with an address, private or business, that the member states.
1.3 Any breach of these membership Terms and Conditions or misuse of the membership, can lead to the membership being terminated immediately. Upon such termination, all CashPoints earned will be deleted. Suspected criminal breach of these membership Terms and Conditions, or any other committed criminal offense by virtue of being a member of the Norwegian Reward program, may be reported to the authorities.
2.1 Norwegian Reward is a free loyalty program where members have the opportunity to earn CashPoints when purchasing goods and services from the airline Norwegian and from other suppliers of goods and services associated with Norwegian Reward (”Reward Partners”).
2.2 Norwegian Reward will continuously try to expand the scope of goods and services which give the possibility to earn CashPoints, by adding new Reward Partners to the loyalty program. Members will periodically receive information from Norwegian Reward notifying them on their current earning opportunities and offers from the airline Norwegian, together with the Reward Partners. An overview of earning opportunities and offers will also be available at norwegianreward.com.
3.1 CashPoints are earned by members making purchases of goods and services from the airline Norwegian and the Reward Partners according to the applicable accumulation rates and conditions set by the airline Norwegian and the Reward Partners.
3.2 Purchases of goods and services earn CashPoints once the payment transaction for that purchase is irrevocably completed. In the case that a payment for a good or service (including travel) is refunded or reversed, the earned CashPoints will also be reversed.
3.3 Purchases of goods and services earn CashPoints only when the payment is done electronically. To earn qualified CashPoints, the accepted forms of payment are credit card, debit card, telephone or another approved form of payment associated with your user profile in Norwegian Reward and registered with the current Reward Partner.
3.4 All purchases with the airline Norwegian earn registered CashPoints independent of the form of payment, as long as you are logged into your user profile when the purchase in completed.
3.5 It may be possible to register CashPoints after a purchase of goods and services from the airline Norwegian and the Reward Partners is completed. The possibility of registering CashPoints after a purchase is completed and the applicable conditions at that time, will be announced by the airline Norwegian and the Reward Partners. The member of the reward programme has to apply to the airline Norwegian or the current Reward Partner to register CashPoints after a purchase. The airline Norwegian and the Reward Partners are free to set and change the rules for granting registration after a purchase, and to process any such application without having to justify the decision made.
3.6 Earned CashPoints will be available for use once the transaction data or the information about points earned is transferred from the Reward Partner to the airline Norwegian. There may be considerable variation as to when transaction data is transferred. Details about the normal data transfer times for each Reward Partner is available at norwegianreward.com. It normally takes 1 working day from when the transaction data is received by the airline Norwegian, until the CashPoints are available for use. If registration of the transaction data does not happen, regardless the reason, shall all requests or demands for missing CashPoints be done directly with the respective Reward Partner where the purchased was completed. The airline Norwegian waives all liability for missing registration of CashPoints with Reward Partners.
3.7 Unused CashPoints expire and are deleted every 24 months after the end of the calendar year in which the CashPoints were earned. That means that CashPoints must be used in the year that they are earned or during the two following years.
4.1 The registered amount of CashPoints that are available in an account, can be used as a full or partial payment towards the purchase of goods and services from the airline Norwegian, including flights (domestic or international), extra baggage, seat reservations etc. CashPoints can also be used as a full or partial payment towards the purchase of goods and services provided by a Reward Partner, if the current partner is offering this.
CashPoints can only be used with electronic transactions with the airline Norwegian, or possibly with a Reward Partner. CashPoints cannot be used by booking with a travel agency or other similar sales offices. CashPoints cannot be paid out in cash.
4.2 There are no special conditions or restrictions related to travel, goods or services that are paid with CashPoints. The general rules which apply to your purchase (including ticket type), apply similarly for travel paid in full or partially with CashPoints.
4.3 The member themselves are responsible for investigating tax implications relating to the use of Norwegian Reward and CashPoints, such as where CashPoints are earned in relation with business travel paid by an employer. Norwegian waives all responsibility in relation to taxes and tax obligations imposed on the member in connection with the accrual or withdrawal of CashPoints.
5.1 The airline Norwegian is responsible for the processing of personal information relating to Norwegian Reward. The member consents to the personal information given as part of the creation of a profile in Norwegian Reward, is registered and processed by the airline Norwegian. In addition, the member consents to that all relevant transaction data in connection with purchases with the airline Norwegian or Reward Partners, whether the purchase is made by credit card, debit card, telephone or another approved means, is registered and stored by the airline Norwegian. All processing of personal information relating to Norwegian Reward will be at all times in accordance with the applicable legislation for this area and in compliance with the regulations of this agreement.
5.2 The registered information will be used in administration of Norwegian Reward, including correct registration of CashPoints earned, issuing of account balance, general information and marketing material related to Norwegian Reward membership. Such information may also include information about earning opportunities and offers from Reward Partners.
5.3 Registered information could be shared with other companies within the Norwegian group or Reward Partners to the extent necessary to ensure the registration of the earned CashPoints when purchasing goods and services from the relevant Reward Partner. The airline Norwegian shall ensure that the third parties that do receive the personal information under this provision, shall commit to treat this information in a responsible manner in accordance with applicable regulations and this agreement.
5.4 The airline Norwegian may on the basis of comparing and analysing the registered information, identify relevant offers and other information, which could be of interest to the member. The purpose is to provide members with the most relevant information and offers.
5.5 The information will be treated in accordance with applicable legislation, including the Norwegian Personal Information Act and the Norwegian Personal Information Regulation. You can on request, be given access to the information stored about you and request that any possible errors be corrected. In addition, you may opt-out from receiving information about norwegianreward.com. Personal information that is necessary so that Norwegian or the airline Norwegian can be able to fulfil a contractual obligation with the member cannot be requested deleted, until all such obligations are satisfied or forfeited.
6.1 The member consents to that the airline Norwegian, including other companies in the Norwegian group and the Reward Partners, may use the information that the member states on the registration form, together with purchase and withdrawal information related to Norwegian Reward, for the purpose of identifying relevant offers and information.
6.2 The member consents to receive information and offers by mail, e-mail, SMS or other similar means about earning possibilities, products and services from the airline Norwegian, other companies in the Norwegian group or from Reward Partners.
6.3 The member may opt-out from receiving marketing material by selecting the desired options under "My Profile" on norwegianreward.com.
7.1 Norwegian has at any time and no later than one month’s notice, the right to change the existing membership conditions, including the rules about earning and withdrawal of CashPoints, also effecting CashPoints already earned, together with the cancelation of the program. The member is informed about this via e-mail. Information about changes can also be obtained directly by contacting the airline Norwegian.
7.2 Norwegian has the right to transfer its rights and obligations to the member to another legal entity (company), for example in connection with a reorganisation of the program or a corporate reorganisation.
7.3 The member consents that all communication concerning Norwegian Reward, including changes to the terms and conditions can be done electronically.
7.4 The airline Norwegian waives all liability, resulting from errors with data systems or similar with Reward Partners or their subcontractors, which prevents or impedes the accumulation or withdrawal of CashPoints. This applies regardless of whether the error lies with the airline Norwegian, the Reward Partner or with any of their subcontractors.
7.5 The member shall treat the login data (username and password) confidential and is responsible that third parties do not get access to the member’s login data. The airline Norwegian assumes no liability in connection with stolen, misused or unauthorised access to the login details.
7.6 Should a situation arise that would make it impossible or unreasonably burdensome to fulfill obligations to the member and this is due to circumstances beyond the control of the airline Norwegian, Norwegian’s obligations cease as long as the situation persists.
8.1 In the case of a possible dispute regarding the rules with Norwegian Reward, Norwegian law will apply. Disputes will be settled by Norwegian courts.
